When you’ve got kids, space is, to put it mildly, limited. Here are a few tips to create an ideal work from home space – when you’ve got kids to care for as well! When you’re asked to work from home without much preparation – while simultaneously caring for children who are also home when you are – you’re going to need to do a little improvising. For a home office in a living room, consider clearing the area behind your sofa for an office desk if you have kids, it’s also a great place to keep an eye on them as they watch TV or play games in front of the sofa. Place a desk behind a sofa. It’s the space traditionally dedicated for console/sofa tables but times are changing – and so are your furniture needs. How to stay sane when you’re suddenly working from home? Your living room will need a little rebranding, starting with a new name how does ‘living room office’ sound?ġ. Draw back the shades to let the natural light flood in, and position the desk and chair in the center of the room for an executive style feel. Turn a spare room into a home office! Incorporate desk, chair, filing cabinet, bookcase and any other pieces essential to a space devoted to workflow take out any bedroom-only items such as a bed, dresser and nightstand. While you can try incorporating office furniture into a living room or bedroom, matching colors and fabrics that will make work-first furniture blend in with comfort-first furniture, the best solution is to section off an area in the home just for the home office a separate room or nook will ensure the purpose of that area is focused (and not confused with any other part of the home)! Spare Room Office Ideas Incorporating an office into a house means bridging the gap between furniture and décor that will make you focused and inspired to be productive – and furniture and décor designed for comfort. Unlike corporate headquarters, a house is designed for permanent living, a home base furnished with comfort, lounging and relaxation in mind. Wanting something calmer, I moved to Mexico in 2017. Once I even won the prestigious HotOne award for my "EXposed" light and tone workshop. I got to see my workshops and tools featured in publications across the industry. I made a blog post the other day where I showed you the new Filmist 1.7. its just way to short i mean to beat a game in 3 hours just shouldnt be. this game the way it is probubly woulda been great 6 years ago on the originla xbox i mean the graphics already look like the belong there. cause thats about what it looks and plays like. Im suprised a company like valve a company who made games like half life 1 and 2 and Portal come out with such a half assed game, this is such a bare bones game basically there meeting musta went some thing like this "i got a idea lets make a game with zombies and make it 4 player co-op" any thing els "no thats it dont need bosses or a story, well make it beatable in alittle over 3 hours and just toss in a few guns and call it a day." this game should have been released as a budget game for like $20. If Left 4 Dead tried this I think it would be a different game, people would've compared it to Resident Evil or something and would've gotten lost in the shuffle. It was all about simple fun, not trying to make every game into an epic RPG-like experience which in my opinion slows and stunts the fun **** like this. But sometimes your NPCs are useless when you are incapacitated or they fall off a building and die. Don't get me wrong, I did not have online access when I first got this so I played it solo and still loved it. The only frustrating element I found was the NPCs if you play solo. The game just doesn't call for it, though. I do think it might've been cool to have included in game the character backgrounds, where they came from and how they found each other. There's witty banter between your team during the campaign. I don't mind because it gives me time to cool my heels, get up and grab a soda or something. It's not supposed to have dozens of cut scenes, super deep characters, tons of dialogue. Sure you play the same levels, but the hordes will come from different areas, and special infected are well circulated throughout the levels. This game gives you variety unlike other zombie games. Exactly what is it you want? This is a zombie shooter. I found it unique and wanted to replay it to get a different experience. The whole point of left 4 dead is that each campaign is its own episode, like a movie. Seriously? It's not that kind of game either. There's also complaints about lack of story. That would be like comparing **** to mangos: both are fruits but completely different. It's funny how tunnel visioned people become, wanting every game to be like their favorite game. I've heard some want to compare it to COD just because it's a FPS. Is it a perfect shooter? No, there is no such thing. In 2008 when it was released I got really sick and this game kept me entertained for weeks while I recovered. To see more rat hack-and-slash action, check out our latest gameplay livestream of Warhammer: Vermintide 2.I'm a bit nostalgic for this game. The game has already received its first patch, fixing several bugs and performance issues, and Fatshark has announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are on their way later this year. On March 12, just four days after its release, it had sold 500,000 units, according to developer Fatshark. The game came out on PC just last week, and already the game has hit a high level of popularity. Each of your heroes has three careers to choose from, with each career providing them with a set of passive and active abilities, along with a talent tree to advance your characters' abilities. You're given your choice of five characters for each level, and the game allows you to choose four to take with you into battle. Your heroes hack, slash, and shoot their way through 13 levels as you take on the combined forces of the Skaven army and the barbaric Chaos faction. There is no sense of safety, making winning far more satisfying. But Vermintide 2 is much less predictable its AI does its best to continually throw new strategies at you. Vermintide 2 even looks like Left 4 Dead 2 at times, with its same starting camera angles and chatter between characters. But Vermintide 2 is more than a clone of Left 4 Dead it goes the extra mile to make sure you are always on the edge of seat and that is a very good thing. Survival is the name of the game for you and your party, and the game will throw all sorts of surprises at you to make that goal hard to achieve. They're both games about holding off hordes of foul enemies while you head to safety. Like its predecessor, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for PC bears tons of similarities to Left 4 Dead. There's a Node.js back end, to the front end, which is mainly for server-side rendering, as well.īehind there, the main repository for the GraphQL server is a big table repository, that we call Bodega because it's a convenience store. React is now talking to GraphQL as a primary API. And we've been in a long, protracted, gradual rollout of the core experiences. So, right now, the new front end is React based and using Apollo. So we're moving quickly away from LAMP, I would say. If we're going to do this again, how are we going to do it in a way that we're gonna get a better result? And been observing it from the outside, and I was like, you guys took so long to do that and you did it so carefully, and yet you're not happy with your decisions. I didn't want to rip it out for its own sake, but everyone else was like, "We don't like this, it's really inflexible." And I remember from being outside the company when that was called MIT FIVE when it had launched. It's a little dated at this point, but it's not. I mean, LAMP's fine, you can do good work in LAMP. When I joined NYT there was already broad dissatisfaction with the LAMP (Linux Apache HTTP Server MySQL PHP) Stack and the front end framework, in particular. MongoDB was my choice for the database as I already have a lot of experience working on it and because, despite of some bad reputation it has acquired in the last months, I still believe it is a powerful database for at least a very long list of use cases such as the one I needed for my website I believe GraphQL is a better option as it feels more natural to write apis, it improves the development velocity, by definition it fixes the over-fetching and under-fetching problem that is so common on REST apis, and on top of that, the community is getting bigger and bigger. GraphQL because I needed to improve my skills with it and because I was never comfortable with the usual REST approach. Node.js has a huge community so it will always be a safe choice in terms of libraries and finding solutions to problems you may have This is just the beginning as I am planning to add more features on the lines of sharing and discoveryįor the #BackEnd I decided to use Node.js, GraphQL and MongoDB: It is a minimalist online movie catalog for you to save the movies you want to see and for rating the movies you already saw. To use the calculator, input your mortgage amount, your mortgage term (in months or years), and your interest rate. Figure out how much equity you have in your home.See how much interest you have paid over the life of the mortgage, or during a particular year, though this may vary based on when the lender receives your payments.Determine how much extra you would need to pay every month to repay the full mortgage in, say, 22 years instead of 30 years.Determine how much principal you owe now, or will owe at a future date. This means you can use the mortgage amortization calculator to: How much time you will chop off the end of the mortgage by making one or more extra payments. How much principal you owe on the mortgage at a specified date. How much total principal and interest have been paid at a specified date. How much principal and interest are paid in any particular payment. How do you calculate amortization?Īn amortization schedule calculator shows: A portion of each payment is applied toward the principal balance and interest, and the mortgage loan amortization schedule details how much will go toward each component of your mortgage payment. The loan amortization schedule will show as the term of your loan progresses, a larger share of your payment goes toward paying down the principal until the loan is paid in full at the end of your term.Ī mortgage amortization schedule is a table that lists each regular payment on a mortgage over time. Initially, most of your payment goes toward the interest rather than the principal. The downside is that you’ll spend more on interest and will need more time to reduce the principal balance, so you will build equity in your home more slowly. With a longer amortization period, your monthly payment will be lower, since there’s more time to repay. Over the course of the loan, you’ll start to have a higher percentage of the payment going towards the principal and a lower percentage of the payment going towards interest. If you take out a fixed-rate mortgage, you’ll repay the loan in equal installments, but nonetheless, the amount that goes towards the principal and the amount that goes towards interest will differ each time you make a payment. Over the course of the loan term, the portion that you pay towards principal and interest will vary according to an amortization schedule. Each month, your mortgage payment goes towards paying off the amount you borrowed, plus interest, in addition to homeowners insurance and property taxes. The draft political declaration expected to be adopted on Thursday aims towards one main result: a healthier population. Given that two-thirds of the global health and care workforce are women, he emphasized that investments in the health and care workforce can also advance gender equality (Goal 5). Moreover, investing in education (Goal 4) must be matched to jobs and careers, with the right salaries and incentives, he added. He said strong primary health care (Goal 3) requires long-term investments in health and care workers, and specifically in decent working conditions (Goal 8). Weaving through a range of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the WHO chief said providing universal health coverage makes sense. On 21 September, ministers will gather at UN Headquarters for a high-level meeting on universal health coverage. Many countries with the most advanced medical care systems were caught by surprise by COVID-19 because of their historic lack of investment in primary health care, according to the WHO chief. Nations have been negotiating a draft declaration that world leaders are expected to adopt at a high-level meeting on 22 September.
